COMPLETED: Get the fox outta here! basket.

It’s finished! I actually finished this last week, but I had to keep all of my million readers in suspense, of course. Or maybe I just got lazy. You choose your adventure.

The quickest parts of this entire thing, were the ears and the eyes. The ears were the most fun.

They’re so cute and tiny. I love them so much. I thought about making another pair by themselves, and attaching them to a wire headband of some sort. IDK just spit balling over here. I’ve got a million projects in my head, maybe I shouldn’t add another one to my queue just yet.

So here it is, my sweetly adorable labor of love, wonky eyes and all:

Whatcha think? SO CUTE AMIRITE?! Just sitting over on my end table, being cute as shit and holdin’ my yarn. I also bought this mug at TJ Maxx a couple weeks ago

You could maybe say I’m obsessed. If I could possess an actual fox as a pet, I would. Who wouldn’t?! Look at these faces, they just scream “CUDDLE ME!”

Sweet lil BB foxes. OK, I think I’ve used to adjectives “sweet” “cute” and “adorable” enough times for one night. Roommate and I are living on the edge tonight – we bought a white wine just because it claimed to taste like cake batter. Spoiler alert: it totally does.

In Progress: Foxy Basket.

This basket has definitely been an adventure, to say the least. It’s had it’s ups! ……..And also it’s downs. Currently, I’m stuck in a down. I’ll get to that. On to the UPS!

The biggest, of course, is that it intrigued me to learn a new skill.

Working with two strands was definitely intimidating, but right about after this point, it got super easy. I think the most difficult part was starting the chain, and stitching the first round. Getting it in the tiny holes was a challenge.

BUT! Practice makes perfect, and then you get this:

(Cute puppy Cameo a la Meela, the pup I sit sometimes.)

Needless to say, I was pretty damn excited, and it only took me a couple of days to get to this point. As a n00b, it’s a proud, shining moment. Soon it was time to start with the red, and I couldn’t wait to start on this QT babies face. The pattern says to work in the nose at the base of the face, but I decided to leave it off so I could just make it separate like the eyes, and then stitch them on at the end.

Isn’t it cute?! Faceless Fox is adorable. This picture makes it look a lot sturdier than it is, so that’s cool I guess. In reality, it’s floppy and slouchy, even when there is stuff in it. I’ve come up with a plan to make it work for me, it’s just going to take a couple days. Realizing what I have to do has gotten me re-upped on excitement! I’m coming up on the ears next, and they are done with one strand instead of two. I’m very curious to see if they will have more standing power than the basket itself. I may have to double up. Whatevz, lets do this shit.
